Simply speaking, Direct Link Local Community Connections, INC [formerly Direct Link Local, INC] is a for profit corporation, operating in a non-profit manner. We are a resource with the singular goal of bringing communities together, providing our various services as a liaison between local business, city government, local non-profit organizations and residents.
It’s no secret the use of the Internet for multiple purposes is increasing at a rapid pace. However, even though this adaptation is taking place, the ability to find “local” information is becoming more difficult. Local Businesses are essentially falling by the way side as only large corporations seem to be taking up the available avenues to advertise. All business owners realize that In order for their business to be successful, they must expand and attract more customers while maintaining somewhat of a loyal customer base. For those business owners who are not accustomed to “doing business on the web”, are in for a surprise.
In February 2009, the analog age in broadcasting will come to an end. The vast majority of television and radio stations will bring their content to you in a digital format. What does that mean for you? It means that you will now have to ability to receive even more information. While researching for this business model, we discovered that many businesses were in the process of migrating from a local perspective to a more global perspective. But in doing so, the local community was being left in the wake. We at Direct Link Local Community Connections feel that this is unacceptable and is in no way beneficial to those communities which propel most businesses
